Runed Orbs drop off bosses in Ulduar, and are also available for purchase (through Emblems of Conquest). Runed Orbs are used by crafters to make i-level 226 BoE items. For crafting patterns known to guild members, please refer to the (currently neglected, soon to be overhauled) Crafters wiki.

Distribution Policy

<Game Theory> will make runed orbs collected on guild 25-man Ulduar raids available to raiding members and trials. Any items crafted using guild runed orbs should be on-spec and for raiding mains only. As with nether vortexes in TBC, no priority will be charged for runed orbs. Guild orbs will be distributed as detailed below, in batches for each crafted item.

Requirements

Any individual seeking runed orbs must sign up on the wiki or on the forum, as in the example below. Before signing up, that individual should confirm that he/she has attendance in good standing (able to bid "want" on the guild Priority List), and he/she should have all other materials assembled (or readily available). Upon receiving the runed orbs, the individual should move his/her sign-up from the sign-up list to the completed list and append the date.

Initial Distribution

The initial sign-up period will extend until Thursday, 5/7/09, at 11:59 PST, at which point they will be sorted by 3 month raid attendance. Note that you may only receive one set of orbs (to craft one item) during this period.

Subsequent Distribution

After 5/7/09, all subsequent sign-ups for runed orbs will be appended to the bottom of the list. Once initial sign-ups have received their orbs, runed orbs will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Those interested in more than one set of runed orbs must complete each item before signing up for another set of runed orbs.
