The key to this fight is understanding how, why, and how quickly the boss gains Blood Power, and to deny him as much of it as possible. Use Heroism/Bloodlust and all DPS-increasing cooldowns early and often.

Normal

Note on composition: Bring enough ranged DPS to take down the Blood Beasts quickly, but not so much that the platform gets crowded when all Blood Beasts are dead. In 10-man, 2 ranged DPS may not be enough. In 25-man, 10 ranged DPS seems to be the workable maximum. A Holy Paladin is highly recommended here.

Tank transitions for Saurfang occur every time that the current tank gets the Rune of Blood debuff.

Tanks and melee: Ignore Blood Beasts, they're not your problem. Avoid multi-target abilities from slightly before they spawn until after they move away from the boss.

Healers: if you can contribute damage during the early portions of the fight, do it.

Discipline Priests: Power Word: Shield + Renew + Prayer of Mending counteracts most of the Boiling Blood damage.

Holy Priests: unless Mark of the Fallen Champion happens to observe raid group boundaries, your glyphed and Serendipity-hasted Prayer of Healing won't be of much use here.

If a raider has Mark of the Fallen Champion and you believe you can't keep them up for the rest of the fight, let them die sooner rather than later.

If a raider has Mark of the Fallen Champion and gets afflicted with Boiling Blood and you believe you can keep them up for the rest of the fight, use a healer cooldown (e.g. Pain Suppression). Otherwise they'll die quickly enough anyway. (See previous point.)

Mark of the Fallen Champion + Boiling Blood + Blood Nova on a raider is basically an insta-gib. You can't predict where any of these will end up next, but Murphy's Law says that we will have an occasional attempt where all three are present on the same raider at the same time. Tough noogies, suck up and deal.

It is unlikely that you will be able to heal through more Marks than are required for the achievement for very long. At that point you are probably doing something else incorrectly, or you're genuinely undergeared.

In 10-man, a raid with enough collective damage output and adequate Blood Beast handling can get by with one healer. If you're not sure, bring two.
